Following the directive of the federal government that all fintech agencies (POS agents) be registered before or on July 7, 2024, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has launched different platforms to make it easier for agents to register quickly.
In this article, I will show you the alternative business registration platforms, which are as follows:
OPTION 1
1. Customers can download the Business Name Registration form from the link provided below and fill it out.
2. After filling out the form, make a statutory payment for availability and registration through Remita and get the receipt.
3. Scan and upload the completed application form in pdf format, payment receipt, passport photograph, and a scanned copy of a recognized valid photo identification to quickservice@cac.gov.ng.
Please be aware that by sending an email request, you agree that CAC may change your proposed name if necessary to ensure approval, in case your chosen name is offensive or similar to an already registered name.
OPTION 2:
Customers can collaborate with their fintech institutions to reserve and register their names through API integrations with the CAC portal. This approach is the quickest and most convenient for users.
